This process quickly removes excess moisture and prepares the paddy for final drying in the LSU dryer. The dryer can reduce moisture by about 6–8% in a single pass, after which the paddy is discharged into a bin without damaging the grains. This ensures higher yield recovery and lower grain breakage compared with many conventional drying systems.
