Destoner

A Destoner is used for 100% separation of heavy impurities such as stones, glass, and metal particles from grains. It is especially effective for removing stones that are similar in size to the grain, which cannot be separated by normal cleaning systems.

Destoners are widely used in processing of Paddy, Rice, Dal, Wheat, Oilseeds, Sesame, Tea, and other grains.

Working Principle

The grain to be cleaned is fed onto an inclined vibrating deck fitted with a specially designed screen.

Positive air pressure is applied to create a fluidized bed of grain on the screen.
Due to the difference in specific gravity, heavier materials such as stones move upwards along the deck.
The lighter grain flows down the incline and exits separately.

This process ensures efficient separation of stones from grains.
