The paddy drier which is operated on husk fired furnace with special pre-heater for drying the parboiling paddy. The flue gases pass through the pre-heater where its energy is utilize to pre heat the air. its working is similar to steam heat exchanger .This system dries paddy using heat generated from burning rice husk—an abundant and eco-friendly biomass fuel—combined with a pre-heater unit that captures and channels flue gases to preheat incoming air. This improves thermal efficiency, reduces fuel usage, and helps maintain consistent drying conditions. here is no scope for direct flue gases & paddy is dried by hot air , heated up after passing through husk fired heater.
