Rectifiers

POWER Rectifiers are engineered for reliable and efficient conversion of AC power into controlled DC output for industrial, electroplating, battery charging, anodizing, electrolysis, testing, and specialized process applications. Designed for robust industrial operation, these rectifiers operate on 3 Phase, 50 Hz AC input supply and are available for voltages between 380V and 440V AC in India. Units can also be customized for 60 Hz operation and other international voltage systems.

Technical Specification

For enhanced operational safety, it is recommended that the rectifier input supply be connected through appropriate protective devices to ensure personnel safety and system protection during maintenance or fault conditions.

DC Output Control

The rectifier output control system is designed to regulate output voltage or current smoothly over the complete operating range by varying the input voltage to the main transformer primary.

The DC output voltage is controlled:

  • Steplessly from 0–100%
  • Through an ON LOAD Roller Type TM POWER Voltage Regulator
  • With smooth and distortion-free voltage variation

This design ensures stable DC output with excellent waveform quality and high efficiency.

Advantages of TM POWER Roller Type Rectifier

Compared to Conventional & Thyristorised Rectifiers

1. No Waveform Distortion

In TM POWER Roller Type Rectifiers, the electrical waveform remains sinusoidal at all load conditions. When voltage is reduced, only the waveform magnitude decreases proportionally without distortion.

In conventional thyristorised rectifiers, waveform chopping occurs, causing distortion and harmonic generation.

2. High Power Factor

  • TM POWER Roller Type Rectifier:
    • Power factor greater than 0.98
  • Thyristorised Rectifier:
    • Lower power factor between 0.5 to 0.75

Higher power factor reduces electrical losses and improves system efficiency.
